Wish Tree

Lots of fabric on my hands, lots of wishes in my mind.

Instinctively I fold, bind, knot, hang, fold, bind, knot, hang...

All the feelings, desires, fears, hopes that goes on inside my head transform into a physical activity, they become visible.

Why do we wish? Even if we don’t believe it, even if it feels in childish, even if we find it absurd?

We are constantly collecting wishes and whispering them in the air.

Is this a way to stay hopeful or the proof of our doubts?

"Wish Tree" has been awarded first place in 2016 Istanbul Rotary Art Award Competition and now a part of Istanbul Rotary Club collection.
