I have a bunch of left over fabrics and a lot of wishes.

Instinctively I start to fold, tie, knot, hang…

All the thoughts, feelings, wishes, fears, anxieties in my head turn in to a physical activity.

The repetition calms me but also it makes all these thoughts realistic by underlining them.

Why to do we make wishes? Even if we don’t believe. We constantly gather up all the wishes and whisper them in the air. Is this a way to stay hopeful or a proof of our doubts?

"Wish Tree" has been awarded first place in 2016 Istanbul Rotary Art Award Competition and now a part of Istanbul Rotary Club collection.
