Transforming a standard meeting table into a pool of sand to switch from verbally talking to tactically communicating.

 

I invited the audience to participate, to take a seat and touch the sand… During the exhibition, when speech was eliminated everyone automatically turned more inward. Touching the sand, making shapes out of it, building, kneading, sweeping, cleaning, counting… All these sorts of actions took us into our own worlds but when continuing to sit together there rose another sort of communication as well. Subtler and more silent but still felt.
